"The certification is a further important qualification step in meeting our high standards as a comprehensive system supplier for the rail industry," says Christoph Heuser, head of the Rail & Bus business unit. The certification confirms that GWP fulfills the high requirements for bonding processes for rail vehicles. At the same time, the certification also ensure product quality for applications in other sectors. In addition to producing GRP components for rail vehicles at the location in Poland, components for buses as well as construction machinery are also manufactured at the site.

GWP had to meet strict requirements to obtain the certification from the TBB Cert Institute. These include documenting structural changes and the professional qualifications of employees as well as expanded documentation procedures for all bonding processes. "In addition to the investments in our newly set up gluing room, we have also conducted intensive training for our employees," explains GWP bonding specialist Jaroslaw Kupczak.
